As far as I am concerned it was a tornado. We have no power & no internet. There were about a dozen trees down in our HOA, one hit a house but nobody was injured.
I was looking out the back door with the screen closed but the door open (to better experience the storm, of course), and I saw the storm hit - the wind was blowing an incredible amount of rain down the road from right to left at the end of our street, then back from left to right down the common area between our row of townhomes and the ones behind us. That defines rotation, in my book.
The noise of the wind was loud enough I did not hear that huge tree fall - but I saw something out of the corner of my eye that made me go check out the window where I can see my car.
Scary stuff. Earthquake and now this?
