Toby's results came back - it was benign, and they think they got it all, so hopefully once he heals up there won't be any further problems.

Toby seems to be doing OK, after a pretty hard time where we were having 'issues' making him take his meds. Maggie just chows them down if we cover them in yogurt on top of her food, but Toby is pickier, and was spitting out yogurt covered food and pills. Messy.

So after a few days of breaking the capsules and mixing the powder with yogurt - which he grudgingly ate - I hit on the solution.

Butter.

I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, to be precise.

Approx 1/4 teaspoon or a little less, just enough to coat and cover/hide the pill, then give it to him like a treat. No problems. he loves the stuff.

Maggie is doing well, but her fur/skin continue to deteriorate, fur isn't growing at all except on a few patches around her feet and sides. Her skin is scaly with black patches that are slowly getting more widespread. The vet says it's not a good sign but not immediately dangerous or catching or anything. Just a sign that she is a very very sick puppy.

She seems happy most times, however, and enjoys running around barking at stuff and playing with her toys, harassing Toby, etc.
