Update on the 1000HE wireless issue:

I upgraded my chipset drivers when all this started, so I reinstalled the original chipset drivers just now, and I'll test it later. I believe the ralink drivers 1.4.2.0 will be the best option.

So far I have tried all of the various drivers other than the one for the ne785, but as that is supposed to be compatible with the ne771 and MAYBE the ne766, I don't expect that to help. But I'll try it anyway if the original chipset drivers and latest ralink wireless drivers do not work.
