I discovered that I can no longer write to my dvd-ram. Oh joy. No biggie - it was a waste of money anyway. Nice toy. I am not sure if I will take it out and sell it - and get a real DVD writer, that I can watch in a DVD player - or just leave it as is. No hurry either way. I think re-installing the software might fix it, but I'll wait on that as well.

Last night I finished the last Amber novel! Great series, but a huge lot of pages. The book is 2+ inches thick, and its a trade paperback size. Brian gets to be its next victim, I think.

Now I start on a book that has been a favorite since childhood, even though I have never read the entire collected works. The Complete Tales & Poems of Winnie The Pooh, 75th Anniversary Edition. Another large and heavy book - hardback. Should be fun!

This weekend we are going to Roanoke to see my family for the first time since Patty and I were married - we will be taking Mom out for dinner for Mother's Day, and spending some time with Dad and the rest of the family as well. I always enjoy visiting Roanoke - hometowns are like that.
