Preliminary reports of a 7.9 earthquake in central alaska... Wow - these things are popping up all over recently. Usually we get only a handful of 7.0+ quakes a year, now we have several in the span of a week or so. This coming week could be very interesting indeed! There was also an X-class solar flare recently, which some people claim contributes to earthquakes.
